Sheridan Maine is excited to be partnering with a dynamic organisation based in Southampton. They are seeking a Financial Controller on a contract basis, with extensive experience in managing the finance function and a small team.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
Managing the end-to-end accounting function for the businessOverseeing payroll processing and credit control activitiesProducing statutory reports and submitting accountsSupporting, mentoring, and upskilling a small finance team as neededPlaying a key role in producing analysis and commentary for all business reports in a timely mannerBeing a strong team player and collaborating closely with the Finance Director and assisting with ad hoc tasks as required.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or QBE with substantial relevant experienceProven management and leadership experienceExceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with finance and non-finance individualsAdvanced Excel and systems skillsExperience overseeing transactional finance, especially payroll operations
