Job Description:
This is an opportunity to join HPE’s world-class Global Communications team. With scores of communicators across the globe, we advocate for HPE’s corporate strategy, business innovation, and thought leadership. We’re looking for a Financial Communications Manager capable of taking the reins of important communication projects at the corporate level, devising and implementing thoughtful multi-stakeholder communication plans for key moments such as quarterly earnings, M&A transactions, and investor days, as well as effectuating change management program implementations and communications surrounding major financial programs and priorities.

We are seeking an experienced corporate communicator who understands financial markets, messaging development, and company positioning. We’ll rely on you to develop and articulate narrative that captures HPE’s vision, corporate strategy, and performance for event-driven moments and ongoing campaigns.
In this role leading financial communications for HPE, you will report to the VP, Corporate & Financial Communications and supervise a small team providing strategic communications counsel to the Finance & Strategy organization and our Chief Financial Officer.

Strategic Planning and Execution:
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial communications strategies that align with HPE’s business objectives and enhance HPE’s reputation with key stakeholdersPartner to ensure HPE’s financial narratives are clearly articulated in an integrated way to a multi-stakeholder audience including financial and business media, team members, and other third partiesLead communications planning, content development, and execution for financial events, including quarterly earnings calls, investor days, M&A activity, and moreMonitor and analyze market trends, industry developments, and competitor financial communications to inform HPE’s strategiesReputation & Content Creation Initiatives:
Co-develop strategies with Global Communications colleagues to amplify high-profile business milestones and executive engagementsCollaborate to build and maintain strong media relationships with top-tier business and financial pressAlign with Investor Relations on opportunities to underscore financial themes in media coverage and thought leadershipOversee the quality and consistency of financial communications content, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and aligned with HPE’s messagingMergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Communications Planning:
Lead the development and execution of cross-audience strategies developed for communicating M&A activity that articulate the strategic rationale, growth, and innovation benefits a transaction would drivePartner closely with Corporate Development and the Corporate, Securities, and M&A Legal team to understand a transaction’s objectives, timelines, and key stakeholdersStand up ad hoc teams of Global Communications colleagues and lead creation of clear and compelling communications campaigns for internal and external audiences, with materials to include press releases, talking points, Q&A documents, presentations, town hall scripts, and executive communicationsCoordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all communications meet regulatory and disclosure requirementsManage post-transaction communications to ensure smooth integration and continued stakeholder engagementStakeholder Engagement:
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of key influencers within financial media, financial analyst community, and other key stakeholder circlesServe as the primary point of contact for financial communications within the Corporate Communications team, working closely with the investor relations team, Finance & Strategy organization, Government Relations, and senior executives in our business unitsTranslate prior experience to become a trusted advisor to executive leaders on financial communication best practices and strategiesFoster strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for communication initiativesEnsure timely and accurate dissemination of financial information to stakeholdersTeam Leadership and Development:
Supervise and mentor a small financial communications team, and share best practices across Global Communications and HPE colleaguesMeasure and report on the effectiveness of financial communications initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for improvementWe are looking for someone who is/has:

BA or BS in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus10+ years of experience in financial communications, investor relations, business development, corporate communications, financial journalism, or a related field.Prior corporate work experience or large agency experience is highly preferredProven track record of developing and executing successful financial communications strategiesDeep understanding of financial markets, corporate finance, and regulatory requirementsProficiency in interpreting financial statements and regulatory filingsExceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to routinely handle highly confidential information with integrityPreference for candidate based in the greater Houston, Texas area, or the ability to travel to the area#LI-Hybrid
