Financial Assistant 2, Post Award + Job Number: 25083 + Functional Area: Grants Administration/Management + Department: Department of Biological Engineering + School Area: Engineering + Pay Range Minimum: $27.00 + Pay Range Maximum: $32.90 + Employment Type: Full-time (Hybrid) + Employment Category: Non-Exempt + Visa Sponsorship Available: No + Schedule: + Pay Grade: 5 Email a Friend Save Save Apply Now Posting Description FINANCIAL ASSISTANT 2, POST AWARD, Biological Engineering, to provide complex and diverse financial assistance on post-award sponsored research activities; perform financial management of fund and research accounts for faculty; monitor account activity and expenditures for compliance with sponsor guidelines and approved budgets; reconcile account statements and salary expense reports in accordance with the financial review and control process; prepare monthly projections; approve requests for payment, travel expense reports, and other accounting forms; review and approve invoices; process requisitions and review purchase order commitments; assist with preparing current and pending support; conduct monthly review of closing report; process account closeouts, including compliance audits; oversee and maintain all financial documentation and electronic files; serve as a resource for lab members regarding MIT-related issues; and perform other duties as directed.
