**Overview** GovCIO is currently hiring for a Financial Analyst 1 to join our Financial Planning & Analysis Team. This position can be performed in person, hybrid or fully remote. Our Financial Analyst 1 will have an opportunity to work on a wide variety of assignments and get a broad experience in supporting multiple sectors. **Responsibilities** The successful candidate will build relationships with program managers and corporate department leaders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Analyzes financial information for business stakeholders for use in the decision making process. + Support all aspects of program financial management and reporting, interfacing with Program Management, Contracts, Accounting and the Project Accounting teams. + Provide cost and variance analyses. + Monitor company funding and spending for subcontractors. + Support the program during the month end financial close through review of program results and creating cost accruals. + Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to create financial forecasts. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** Bachelor's with 0 - 2 years (or commensurate experience) **Required Skills and Experience** + Clearance Required: None **Preferred Skills and Experience** + Knowledge of the various contract types. + Strong business analysis skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and various lookups. + Preferably 1+ year of financial analysis, including internship experience. + Must be self-motivated, energetic, critical thinker that is able to work with a diverse team. **Company Overview** GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
