Financial Analyst - Post Audit
As a Post Audit Finance Analyst, you’ll conduct audits of Best Buy's merchandise vendors throughout the year to verify agreed upon programs have been properly accounted for and collected by Best Buy. This includes investigating and resolving disputes of collections with internal and external partners. You must possess excellent communication skills and be able to routinely deal with merchants, our vendor community, and in addition two external audit groups assisting with the process.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you’ll doAudit a wide variety of vendors and programs offered by our vendor community utilizing audit guidelines, SOP and policies to be adapted to each individual vendor regarding each vendor's changing programs and industry norms.Understand and absorb the functions and processes of multiple elements of the Best Buy Enterprise (including Transportation, Advertising, Marketing, Accounts Payable, etc.) to accurately audit their operations.  Adept business acumen to quickly and accurately analyze a wide variety and depth of vendor programs (accruals, promotional allowances, pricing, annual program, etc.) to verify the accurate execution and collection by the enterprise including ability to quickly sort and comprehend relevant from irrelevant information and data from large volumes of documentation and information.Ability to exercise discretion and make independent judgement of relevant facts to determine financial impact of vendor programs and proposals.     Flexibility to work not only within the framework of Best Buy USA, but to learn the systems & processes of other audit divisions, including Best Buy Canada and others, to adequately audit theses operations.  Execute business processes and act as point of contact for internal business partners to answer standard, run the business questions and conduct analysis
Basic qualifications6 months of experience in an accounting, finance or business related fieldBasic proficiency using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel)
Preferred qualificationsBachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related fieldStrong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and facilitation)Ability to work independentlyCorporate background and/or auditing skillsAbility to work in and analyze unclear situations to formulate, interpret and represent their decisions
