Financial Analyst IV
What You'll Do We’re looking for a Financial Analyst IV to join our Workplace Savings & Retirement Solutions (WSRS) Business Finance team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to gain exposure to Principal’s broad workplace retirement business, with a focus on assisting business leaders in growing their business. You will build and maintain robust models, develop/refine assumptions, and perform various forms of financial analysis (revenue and profitability modeling, business goal setting, cost/benefit analyses, etc.) for Principal’s WSRS business lines. Deliver and present timely financial insights to assist executives in strategic decision making. Analyze financial data across diverse revenue streams, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals. Prepare, review, and articulate key drivers and assumptions used to forecast financial performance. Engage with key business leaders to uncover financial pain points and analyze options for improvement. Who You Are Bachelor's degree in finance, math, actuarial science or related field with a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience preferred Self-motivated with excellent problem solving, informal leadership, and analytical skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills required Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database or similar PC software packages Demonstrates the ability to embrace and understand the change process, and effectively guides others through change Track record of owning and speaking to financial analyses Skills That Will Help You Stand Out Highly experienced with MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and ability to build financial forecast models Aptitude in programming languages is preferred Preference for those with working knowledge of SmartView/Essbase Prior experience in the retirement recordkeeping industry Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $86450 - $116850 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
