Job Title: Financial Analyst II

The Finance Analyst II is a key member of the operations finance team, supporting the Kalamazoo site operations.  He/she is directly responsible for the site’s cost accounting, inventory accounting and operational reporting.  The person we are looking for will have a strong analysis, cost, and accounting skills.  The Finance Analyst is someone who will partner with the engineering, inventory, and operations to drive improvements.

Location: This is a position that will be onsite Monday through Friday in Kalamazoo, MI.

What you will do:

Ensure timely execution of month end close. Development of variance analysis tools and reporting metrics.Prepare reconciliations and supporting documentation related to cost accounting and inventory.Maintain the accuracy of the standard costs and execute annual standard cost update.   Ensures accuracy of inventory valuations and manufacturing variance reporting. Oversee preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for operational performance.Analyze material usage, direct labor, and overhead variances to provide recommendations for improving performance.Assist with the preparation of monthly and yearly forecasts/budgets.Support annual external and internal audits for financial statements and SOX/JSOX.Develop a business partnership with manufacturing leaders to assist in improving operational performance.Perform ad hoc analysis through analytical modeling.Establish personal career plan and development goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance is required.Manufacturing background with a knowledge of cost accounting, US GAAP, IFRS, financial analysis.Minimum 5 years of financial/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience with ERP systems is required, SAP is preferred.
