Financial Analyst - Entry Level
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic non-profit environment in New York, New York, where you will contribute to critical financial operations and analysis. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a passion for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes. Responsibilities: • Compile and prepare funder billings by generating detailed reports using Sage Intacct and gathering supporting documentation from various systems, including Airbase. • Review and consolidate documentation using Adobe tools to ensure accuracy before uploading bills to the organization's portal. • Create and manage accounts receivable invoices associated with funder billings. • Monitor and update Budget vs. Actual templates with billing and general ledger data. • Maintain the latest budget information in Sage Intacct for accurate financial tracking. • Develop monthly variance packages and conduct detailed analysis for internal review. • Participate in monthly variance meetings to address and resolve discrepancies. • Support the preparation of financial reports and ensure compliance with organizational standards and funder requirements. • Assist in maintaining accurate records of financial transactions and budgets to inform decision-making processes. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in financial analysis or a related field. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Sage Intacct and Airbase. • Familiarity with accrual accounting and auditing processes. • Strong skills in data mining techniques and financial reporting tools such as Crystal Reports. • Understanding of budget processes and capital management. • Ability to work with CRM systems to enhance financial operations. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
