Description We are looking for an entry-level Financial Analyst to join our team in Englewood, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent role. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic and foundational knowledge in accounting, finance, or economics, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business accounting systems. Responsibilities: • Analyze financial data to assist in budgeting, forecasting, and capital management. • Utilize Excel to create detailed financial reports. • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with accrual accounting standards. • Support the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial statements. • Collaborate with team members to refine budget processes and identify areas for cost optimization. • Maintain and update CRM systems with financial information and transaction details. • Apply data mining techniques to uncover trends and insights within financial datasets. • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in accounting functions, including reconciliations and journal entries. • Partner with management to address financial challenges and provide actionable recommendations. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions. • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and general financial principles. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work onsite four days a week and remotely one day. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
