Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the development and production of key reports for the North America (“NA”) General Insurance leadership team as well as help aggregate analysis for quarter close, forecast, and budget cycles through coordination with various teams to develop value-adding analytics. Also responsible for developing the financial narrative encompassing detailed production, loss and expense information, a critical component to enable NA management to successfully execute on strategy and running of the business. The individual in this role will connect NA stakeholders together to produce this narrative, as well as supporting the overall Finance operating framework by aligning activities and deliverables with Controllership, Actuarial, and Corporate FP&A. In addition, the Financial Analyst will support the Head of North America Distribution with FP&A related deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analytics:
+ Support the current Portfolio Management framework by establishing MI and analytics with forward looking metrics and KPI’s
+ Embed the use of common key performance metrics and leverage analytics to provide insight that drives action
+ Coordinate key management deliverables and manage timelines to ensure successful team delivery
+ Responsible for reconciling quarterly financials and corresponding analysis
+ Assist with production of our NA Quarterly results narrative and corresponding presentations
Financial Planning:
+ Support NA planning and forecast cycles, aligning deliverables and reporting outputs
+ Assist in the preparation of NA’s Forecast and Budget results memos and presentations
+ Support tracking of key performance metrics across North America and delivery of results to senior leadership
Distribution Finance Partner:
+ Create, maintain, and track GOE budgets for U.S. Distribution and well as manage the allocations process
+ Assist in the broker commissions process and track P&L impact
+ Manage headcount and expenses for U.S. Distribution
+ Provide monthly non-machine adjustments to Distribution for the Broker 360 Platform
The candidate will possess proven analytical, communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will have a track record of being able to drive organizational change both within the financial arena and throughout the supported organization. It is essential that the Finance Analyst possess a solid understanding of business fundamentals, and a willingness to learn. This role offers the opportunity to develop analytical skills, while contributing to the organization’s goals through problem solving, data analysis and cross functional collaboration. along with the expertise to navigate and achieve the organization's financial goals.
This individual will have exposure to a broad range of financial disciplines such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial reporting. They must also demonstrate a forward-thinking mindset. Experience working with internal teams and external stakeholders across various business functions is a strong advantage.
Job Requirements: (subject to change)
+ At least 2+ years of progressive accountancy or finance experience preferred
+ BA degree or equivalent
+ Possess Business and Financial acumen and ability to present issues clearly and concisely
+ Background in P&C analysis preferred
+ Experience in forecasting and modelling and knowledge of business performance and metrics
+ Understanding of the financial dynamics of a Property Casualty insurer and the related growth, profitability and risk drivers.
+ Strong Excel skills required
+ Anaplan and BPC experience preferred
+ Power BI/Tableau a plus

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 -$94,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
