Financial Analyst
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. This role will involve supporting financial operations for studio production and distribution units, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance. Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Prepare quarterly financial statements and variance analyses for balance sheet and income statement reporting. • Develop key quarterly and year-end financial deliverables, including margin analysis and footnote disclosures. • Manage production billings, accounts receivable aging, and tracking of receipts. • Serve as the liaison between production finance and corporate treasury for cash transactions related to film studios. • Reconcile various accounts, such as accounts receivable, prepaid assets, film inventory, and accounts payable. • Handle ad-hoc reporting and special projects requested by senior management. • Coordinate and submit documentation for compliance, tax filings, and financial audits during quarter and year-end periods. • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. • 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls. • Proficient quantitative and analytical skills. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. • Capable of resolving issues involving multiple stakeholders independently.
