Financial Analyst
Description We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in creating, analyzing, and improving financial reports, models, and processes to support business growth. This position is 100% onsite and offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams to drive financial insights and optimize reporting strategies. Responsibilities: • Develop and refine financial models to support strategic business decisions and analyze key metrics. • Create and enhance various types of financial reports, including equity and debt runs, ensuring accuracy and clarity. • Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as waterfall charts and complex formulas, to process and present financial data effectively. • Collaborate with multiple teams to gather data, validate figures, and defend the sources of financial numbers. • Rebuild and improve existing reports to meet the evolving needs of different stakeholders. • Conduct detailed analysis on return of capital, profit splits, and other financial metrics. • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to address specific business inquiries and challenges. • Support business development efforts by freeing up team members to focus on acquiring and closing new business opportunities. Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have the following experience along with commercial real estate or property management industry experience. • Proven experience in financial analysis and modeling across diverse business scenarios. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, waterfall charts, and data manipulation. • Strong skills in creating and improving financial reports and modules. • Ability to gather, analyze, and defend financial data from multiple sources and teams. • Familiarity with equity runs, debt runs, and detailed profit split calculations. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. • Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams. • Previous experience in a similar role with a focus on long-term financial projects.
