Accountability:

The Finance Analyst owns, analyzes, and supports project accounting governance.  This role will play a critical part in ensuring financial discipline across projects, managing and reporting backlog data, and consolidating financial information to support strategic decision-making.  This role will work closely with the business and Finance leadership to ensure accuracy, implement best practices, streamline processes and enable efficient workflow to ensure timely reporting.

Main Tasks:

Partner with Finance leadership to ensure financial reports comply with IFRSProactively anticipate business partner questions when new or changing business trends are identifiedRetain industry and company knowledge to enhance variance explanations and financial reportingCollaborate with business partners to ensure forecasts and analysis are relevant and any gaps to financial targets are identifiedOwn ad hoc projects or analysis to enhance financial performance and better understand business driversMonitor and track project expenditures across multiple projectsEnforce compliance with internal controls and accounting standards for project-related financialsPartner with project managers and accounting teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reportingReview and validate project financials, including accruals, commitments, and actualsMaintain and update project backlog reportsAnalyze backlog trends and provide insights on project pipeline and financial impactCollaborate with operations and finance teams to ensure backlog accuracy and completenessConsolidate financial data from various sources for monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reportingPrepare dashboards, variance analyses, and executive summariesForecast, review, and report any related variance analysis with the above dutiesAny other tasks or duties as agreed with FP&A Manager

Qualifications & experience:

Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting, finance or related field requiredCPA requiredExcellent analytical skills, conceptual thinking, communication, and interpersonal skillsAble to thrive in an often fast paced and deadline-oriented business requiring development and refinement of processes and proceduresEssential knowledge and experience in Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Enterprise preferredExpert knowledge of Microsoft Applications required (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access)Knowledge and experience in Oracle financial suite preferredUniversity degree in accounting, finance or related field required
