Summary of responsibilities

Participate in preparation of the monthly management accounts and analysis of key variances against prior periodsTake ownership of accounting for specified areas of the income statement and balance sheet, including posting monthly journalsDevelop and maintain clear management information to facilitate robust understanding of trends Ensure accounting and monthly reporting for areas of responsibility is completed in accordance with group instruction and applicable deadlinesPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations as a key control to ensure accuracy of monthly reportingSupport with the external audit and ad hoc project work as required

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a Finance roleCompetent user of Microsoft Excel (comfortable with pivot tables, nested formulas, key functions including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT etc.)Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, asking for support or input from line manager and colleagues wherever requiredExperience in communicating with a range of stakeholdersAppetite to further develop technical accounting and industry knowledgeDevelops others by sharing own experience and expertise
