Position Summary:

 

The Financial Analyst will work within our Accounting Department and will be responsible for preparing financial reports for Malin leadership.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Analyze financial data and trends to support strategic planning and forecasting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis Calculate and process monthly, quarterly, and annual sales commissions in accordance with compensation plans. Maintain and update commission systems and databases. Analyze commission data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. Respond to inquiries from sales staff regarding commission calculations and payments. Monitor and analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock accuracy. Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and propose corrective actions. Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or inventory management systems. Analyze billing data to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with contracts and policies. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, operations, finance) to resolve billing issues. Maintain and update billing systems and customer records. Generate reports on billing activity, trends, and performance metrics.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. 3-5 years in relevant finance or accounting work. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel Experience in an analysis role. Hybrid position. Must be able to work from the office several days a week. Experience in Logistics industry or a closely related field is a plus.
