Financial Analyst
Description Robert Half is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team in the Middlesex County, NJ area. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for financial reporting, financial analysis, fixed asset accounting, and more. If you have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and 2+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst, this might be the opportunity for you! Responsibilities: • Provide support for financial reporting activities, including the preparation of period-end and quarter-end schedules, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations. • Assist with fixed asset accounting tasks, including the reconciliation of additions, retirements, and disposals, while maintaining roll-forward schedules. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage lease accounting and ensure compliance with company policies. • Contribute to month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. • Support financial consolidation processes and prepare quarterly and annual reports. • Participate in the development and testing of financial reports in SAP. • Analyze transactional details to identify variances and propose effective solutions. • Develop and recommend workflow improvements to enhance efficiency within financial reporting processes. • Meet strict deadlines for financial reporting and assist with ad hoc departmental projects as needed. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis or corporate accounting. • Proficiency with SAP. • Experience with fixed assets and general ledger management is a plus. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including V-lookups and pivot tables. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
