What you’ll be doing
The Analyst, Strategy & Operational Excellence is responsible for supporting the financial, operational, and governance processes within the Events, Media, and Conference Centre (EMCC) team. This role involves assisting with contract management, invoice processing, vendor management, and financial reporting. The Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with CIBC policies, enhance operational efficiency, and provide value-added insights to support decision-making.

How you’ll succeed
Financial and Invoice Management - Assist in managing the end-to-end invoicing process, including Coupa workflows, vendor communication, and payment schedules. Support the reconciliation of expenses and ensure compliance with CIBC policies and procedures. Collaborate with the EMCC Finance Management team to track and report on financial performance.Contract and Vendor Management - Support the processing and monitoring of contracts and invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to governance standards. Assist with vendor onboarding, EFT setup, and day-to-day issue resolution. Contribute to the enhancement of contract processes to improve efficiency.Governance and Controls - Ensure compliance with Records Management policies and other organizational controls. Assist in managing regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity and data governance for vendors. Provide guidance to team members on compliance and administrative processes.Reporting and Analysis - Prepare financial reports and updates for senior management, including Actual vs. Forecast analysis. Maintain trackers and databases to ensure accurate reporting of financial and operational data. Identify potential risks or discrepancies and recommend solutions to mitigate them.Collaboration and Communication - This role requires collaboration and communication with colleagues across the EMCC team, as well as partnering closely with select members of Finance, Procurement, Risk (Third Party Risk Office), and External Suppliers.Who you are
Knowledge of financial management, reporting, and forecasting processes.Proficiency in tools such as Coupa, Excel (advanced), and other financial systems.Excellent communication skills.Understanding of governance, compliance, and risk mitigation practices.You have strong time management skills, with an ability to prioritize deliverables.You're passionate about people.
