Our client in the energy industry is looking for a Financial Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing actionable insights that inform strategic and operational decisions. This role demands strong analytical skills, the ability to work with complex datasets, and the expertise to interpret trends and forecast future financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Analyze company financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into profitability, trends, and variances
+ Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
+ Deliver accurate and timely reports to leadership teams, including P& L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
+ Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
+ Evaluate historical data and industry trends to project financial performance and growth opportunities.
+ Conduct financial modeling to support business decisions, including new investments, mergers, acquisitions, and cost reduction initiatives.
+ Use predictive analytics to inform planning and improve forecasting accuracy
+ Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards while identifying areas for process improvement
+ Monitor risk-related metrics and produce analyses to support frameworks for internal controls or audit processes.
+ Track economic, industry, and market trends impacting the company’s financial performance.
+ Assess competitive positioning and identify risks and growth opportunities in the market.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have the following experience:
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, MBA) preferred.
+ Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or forecasting in a corporate or professional setting.
+ Strong proficiency in financial systems and software (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle, Tableau).
+ Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
+ Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS regulations
+ Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills—able to deliver insights to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
