Financial Analyst

About the Role

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the analysis of various operational and financial objectives of the company at the direction of the Director of FP&A. The Financial Analyst will perform complex financial modeling tasks and have the capability to develop sophisticated financial models to achieve departmental and/or company objectives. By analyzing trends, key performance metrics and center incomes statements, they will identify and define opportunities to improve performance and positively impact results.

A Day in the Life

Financial analysis to measure monthly financial performance, explain variances to budget and forecast along business trends.Gathering, organization and analysis of data from various sources to facilitate the review of corporate operations and franchisee performance, including Business Intelligence, ERP, and Cloud Based Software. Monthly Financial Reporting- system-wide activity including Key Performance Indicators, Same Store Sales Data, Months-In-Operations Data, and Regional results, among others. Support the annual planning process. Monthly forecasting and close process and enterprise-wide reporting including engaging with department heads to build budget and refine forecast.Supplement financial reviews with qualitative assessments of operational risks and opportunities. Enable performance reports to differentiate controllable and uncontrollable factors behind current results to focus action planning on the areas that matter.Complete complex business modeling and analysis to drive revenue growth, identify operating improvements, deep dive on cost structures and analyze business opportunities/investments.Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc project analyses, and financial modeling using a broad range of tools including Excel.Collaborate with cross functional teams to assist in attaining organization-wide objectives. Deliver meaningful insight and practical recommendations, in addition to sound financial data analysis, to inform and influence business decisions.

What Sets You Apart

Sound knowledge of corporate finance fundamentals.Ability to present and communicate complex data and analysis to different audiences in a clear and concise manner. Possesses financial acumen including experience with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.Communicate complex financial analysis to all levels of the organization as well as externally.Advanced Excel functionality including formula writing, macros and automation. Ability to analyze data, draw reasonable conclusions and make recommendations that withstand critical examination.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.Strong interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills.Subject matter expert for Business Intelligence, financial and reporting tools.Possess a superior attention to detail as well as unwavering focus on accuracy. Ability to multitask, meet demanding deadlines.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in finance, business or related field0-2 years of finance experience
