Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Torrance, California. This is a Contract-to-permanent position within a dynamic construction-focused organization specializing in affordable housing projects. The role is critical in supporting financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes, ensuring alignment between field operations and corporate financial goals. Responsibilities: • Collaborate closely with leadership to drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. • Develop and manage complex Excel models to track costs, forecasts, and budgets effectively. • Monitor and analyze project-level financial data using construction accounting software such as Foundation and Procore. • Prepare detailed reports on project costs and identify any variances, ensuring timely communication of findings. • Assist in quarterly updates of budgets and forecasts to reflect current financial trends. • Ensure accurate cost coding to align financial reporting with ongoing construction progress. • Work alongside project managers and field teams to collect data and clarify financial impacts. • Contribute to various ad hoc financial projects as needed to support organizational goals. Requirements • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field. • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and vlookups. • Familiarity with construction or project-based environments is preferred. • Experience with Foundation Software or Procore is highly advantageous. • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate across departments, including field and office teams. • Exceptional attention to detail and capability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting. • Knowledge of financial software systems, CRM tools, and auditing principles. • Understanding of budget processes and accrual accounting methods.
