The Financial Analyst will primarily be responsible for Canada Retirement Finance sales compensation analysis and reporting processes, supporting the monthly and quarterly financial modeling process and driving regional projects and initiatives, and coordinating regional efforts on process standardization and documentation.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring Canada Retirement Finance ProcessesSupport in the monthly close for Canada Retirement Finance. The process includes but is not limited to the preparation of Canada Retirement Management Report, Firms and Client Scorecards, Sales Reports and Commentaries, Client Barometer, Accrual Data, and Journal Entries. Maintenance of Databases and Annual Compensation Statement.To handle the general update of flows, GIA daily curve, monthly earnings, assets, and depositsPrepare input files for Forecast ModelTo help prepare Management Deck submitted to upper managementTo help prepare the MIM flows dashboardRun FMI monthly analysis and queriesTo prepare AUM by fund (for Canada Retirement)To serve as additional support to Compensation and ARP related tasksMaintain control documentation and prepare audit requests related to internal and external audit requirementsBe an integral part of regional finance initiatives/projects related to accounting and reporting, including ad hoc business requests. Promote a culture of standardization and efficiencyRequired Qualifications:
Graduate of Mathematics, Finance or Business course (Commerce, Accounting, Finance, and Banking), professional certification is an advantage but not requiredPrior experience for over 3 years in a Finance role, Group Retirement, Pension, Group Benefits, and Insurance experience would be an advantage.Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing, and collaborative team environment while managing multiple, constantly changing priorities and ad-hoc requestsKnowledge of databases reporting tools and systemsExtensive experience with MS Excel including working with Macros and other Excel add-ins, Macro VBA knowledge is nice to haveStrong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbalProven self-starter with the ability to work independently with less supervisionProactive in executing and owning the processes and controlsExperience in MS Access, SQL data server, and Power BI would be an advantageExcels in a team environment interacting with both business and finance colleagues both onshore and offshoreExperience in working as offsite support to business functionsWilling to work on a mid-shift schedule with occasional overtime during peak daysWhen you join our team:
