Financial Analyst, Geisinger Health Plan (work from home East Coast EST)
Job Summary Prepares financial analysis in support of business, accounting, and financial processes. Works collaboratively with finance partners, operational teams, and other departments. Job Duties Responsible for assisting with the preparation of the financial statutory reports for the three legal entities Geisinger Health Plan (GHP), Geisinger Indemnity Insurance Company (GIIC), and Geisinger Quality Options (GQO). Maintains compliance with all regulatory organizations, including Pennsylvania Insurance Department (PID), and National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). Assist with the completion of medical loss ratio and other regulatory related filings. + Prepares financial analysis, reports, and/or accounting processes for assigned functions, which may include general ledger transactions, account analysis and reconciliations, capital management, productivity, management reporting, cost accounting, revenue and contracts, transformation, or other areas of focus. + Develops financial tools and templates to support business and financial processes, analytical capabilities, and activity tracking. + Maintains appropriate documentation of analytical processes. + Ensures that all work is performed in an auditable fashion. + Documents and recommends improvements to existing processes. + Works to continuously improve work quality and efficiency.
