Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have an 18-month contract opportunity for a Financial Analyst, Fresh Merchandising to join our Fresh Merchandising Finance team.

 

This position is based out of our office in Mississauga, ON. This is a contract position for 18 months.


In this role, you will provide financial analysis and business decision support to the Finance Manager, Fresh Merchandising.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing: Serve as business partner for the Fresh department Category Management Directors Put forward suggestions to improve functional area processes Assist in process of creating and maintaining forecasting, targeting, and budgeting templates Assist in development of performance analysis and prepare various analytical reports Present reports effectively with various business partners including, finance and category managers and directors Perform required administrative tasks which may include running SAP / SAPBW / Longview reports, participating in meetings, and responding to phone and e-mail messages Perform account reconciliations and account analysis Work with the Business Process Optimization (continuous improvement) teams to identify opportunities to reduce costs Develop and manage various reports in SAP, Longview / Khalix, and SAPBW What you have to offer: An Undergraduate Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business, or a Diploma with some relevant work experience in finance / accounting positions Intermediate MS Office, with advanced Excel experience required Excellent communication skills, ability to build strong relationships as a business partner Strong analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines Experience using SAP, Longview / Khalix, SAPBW, CFIN, and other ad-hoc systems is an asset Previous experience working with Retail, Operations, Category or Merchandising departments is an asset Working towards an accounting designation is an asset
