**Position Overview**
Responsible for supporting the financial affairs of the business unit, including:
+ Assist with the monthly close process
+ Prepare monthly P/(L) flash/close results, perform variance analysis (versus plan/prior…)
+ Support the development of the annual financial plan
+ Preparation of financial analyses of key sales/marketing initiatives to provide financial guidance for various business decisions
+ Analyze programs and pricing for all customers
+ Support new product development through sales/cost quotes and pro-forma analysis
+ Support capital budget and projects as needed
+ Provide plant or supply chain analysis on an ad hoc basis to support plant controllers and internal operations management decisions
**Specific Responsibilities**
+ Assists in implementing best practices for the business segment with regard to financial policies and procedures.
+ Supports the SBU financial function including accounting, budget, forecasting/planning, operating plans, month-end/year-end closing, and etc.
+ Assures on-time reporting to Newell Brands corporate (e.g. Ops Deck).
+ Develops good interactive working relationship with Shared Services.
+ Support Sales, R&D, and Customer Development department in order to grow revenue and margin.
+ Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.
+ Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
+ Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

**Key Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, with a concentration in accounting or finance
+ 2-5 years job related experience overall
+ Experience in a manufacturing company with strong accounting, costing and financial skills
+ Strong working knowledge of GAAP
+ Strong communication, with all levels of the organization
+ Completes task with a sense of urgency
+ Good listening, teamwork, and attention to detail
+ Reliable with patience and professionalism
+ Use of Microsoft outlook and MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ MBA / CPA would be an advantage
+ HFM/Hyperion and SAP experience would be an advantage
