Financial Analyst, Finance I&T

 

As a Financial Analyst in the I&T Finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to the Project Delivery and Operations teams. In partnership with the managers, you will be responsible for rigorously monitoring the operating and project costs of the services for which you are responsible, as well as assisting them with various ad hoc analyses.

 

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Conduct monthly financial monitoring of cost centres and project cost analyses (OPEX/CAPEX).

Become the go-to person for the financial aspect related to resource costs and project recharges.

Perform month-end activities (commitments, entries) and forecasting/budgeting.

Update resource budgets/forecasts and perform related analyses.

Consolidate costs of recurring projects that impact operations.

Support I&T project, program, and business sector managers with various financial analyses.

Support teams in analyzing expenditures for their cost centres.

Participate in continuous improvement projects, task automation, and the increasing use of Power BI within the function.

Participate in the preparation and updating of management reports for the various teams supported.

Perform certain internal controls (SOX) related to project tracking.

 

THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting/Finance).

 Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint).

Three to five years of relevant experience related to the position.

FFluency in French and English, both spoken and written.

Knowledge of Power BI would be an asset.

Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.

Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to work in a team.

Attention to detail and thoroughness.

Autonomy and curiosity.

Pursuit of continuous improvement in task execution.

 

This position will be based in Valcourt, Sherbrooke or Montreal.
