ITW is seeking a talented individual to join the External Reporting team at its corporate campus in Glenview, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to work independently, possess strong communication skills, and have demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP in their past accounting/reporting work experience. This position will work collaboratively with other members of the Corporate Finance & Accounting team and with various corporate departments, business unit management teams, and our external auditors. As a member of the Corporate Finance & Accounting team at ITW’s corporate headquarters, this position has excellent visibility and will offer opportunities for rotation and advancement. The position will report to the Sr. Manager of External Reporting.
Responsibilities
Execute various processes related to the Company’s quarterly financial close and consolidation across all worldwide businesses and corporate activities.Interact with ITW’s multinational divisions to analyze and understand reported resultsProvide reports and commentary for quarterly management reviewWork with external auditors on various key areasAssist in the preparation of SEC filings and disclosures (10-K, 10-Q, etc.)Develop an understanding of corporate policies and proceduresContribute to various department initiatives and cross-functional Finance projects to improve process efficiency and overall timeliness and accuracy of financial informationPrepare information for various governmental surveysQualifications and Skills
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting is requiredCPA or CPA candidate preferred1-2 years of corporate accounting is required or public accounting experience is preferredAbility to work 5 days a week in the office at the Glenview campus with flexibility on hours.Strong verbal and written communicationOrganized and results-drivenInquisitive and able to work independentlyStrong analytical skills and overall knowledge of accounting principlesAbility to perform in a fast paced environmentProficient with key financial applications (Oracle/HFM, Excel, etc.)Compensation Information:
The compensation package for the role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $74K - $85K annually.
