Compensation includes a base salary of $108,800.00 - $181,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Cox Automotive is hiring a Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis. The Senior Manager will lead the CFO Expense Management team within the Sales and Corporate Finance Office, providing strategic oversight and delivering high-impact financial insights. This role is responsible for consolidating and managing enterprise-wide expenses for EF&A, Business Operations Finance, Strategy, Facilities, and Supply Chain. The Senior Manager will work closely with senior leadership across these pillars, delivering timely, data-driven recommendations and supporting key business initiatives through robust financial analysis and business case development.


Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to build dynamic Excel models, a commitment to accuracy and timeliness, and a talent for fostering collaboration across divisions. This role also includes direct management of a Senior Financial Analyst, with a focus on coaching, development, and workload balance. A proactive mindset and a continuous improvement approach are essential for driving efficiencies and elevating the team’s overall business impact.

PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Lead, coach, and develop a Senior Financial Analyst, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance.

Drive thought leadership and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness across financial processes.

Consolidate and manage expenses across multiple business units, ensuring accurate tracking, analysis, and reporting for informed decision-making.

Meet regularly with stakeholders to review financial results, gather inputs, and align on forecasts and strategy.

Provide clear and actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership, supporting high-stakes decisions.

Build and maintain detailed business cases to evaluate new initiatives, including ROI analysis and scenario modeling.

Collaborate with BU FP&A leads to monitor monthly performance, analyze budget variances, and assess enterprise-wide risks and opportunities.

Manage the month-end close process in partnership with Accounting, ensuring timely and accurate financials.

Deliver consolidated reporting packages, including monthly financial updates, forecasts, and R&O assessments.

Lead the annual budget process in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners across Finance, Accounting, and other corporate functions.

Support ad hoc requests and special projects, delivering high-quality outputs under tight timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (or relevant discipline) with 8+ years of experience in a finance or accounting function. A candidate may also have a Master's Degree with 6+ years of experience or a Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience. A non-degreed candidate will have 12+ years of experience.

Previous experience in a management or lead role preferred

Experience working within a like analytical financial environment to include financial strategy, project management, process improvement, business performance management and/or corporate strategy

Ability to exercise independent judgment for interpreting financial data

Motivated, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational skills and an ability to work on a team

Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail is a must

Demonstrated ability to multitask successfully

Extensive experience with the MS Office Suite, specifically with Excel in the automation of reporting
