Schedule:
Monday to Friday, Flexible Hours, generally 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Occasional evenings as needed
Potential for a hybrid work schedule
Travel required several days per month, with mileage reimbursement
Position Overview:
The Financial Aid Coordinator administers the student financial aid program at the UPMC Schools of Nursing. This role involves providing financial aid and assistance to eligible students while maintaining accurate financial aid records. The position will support both the New Castle and Erie school locations. Support for the second site will mostly be remote, but occasional travel to the second site will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist graduating students with payment plans and financial aid options.
Provide financial aid guidance to eligible students, explaining available options and processes.
Administer the financial aid program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Implement school policies while supporting the attainment of school goals.
Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with the admissions team to assist with recruitment activities and the admissions process.
Complete special projects and assignments as directed by leadership.
Maintain up-to-date financial aid records.
Stay informed about changes in financial aid options and policies.
Fully manage the financial aid process for cohorts of students, including preparing the necessary documentation for review, packaging financial aid, and managing all communication with students in person, via email, and by phone.
Provide support to both the New Castle and Erie school locations, primarily working remotely for the second site but requiring occasional travel.
