Financial Accounting Manager

We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Financial Accounting Manager to work in our Finance Division.


In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis, and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources.


Global Corporate Controllers are responsible for Morgan Stanley's financial records, ensuring that the assets and liabilities of Morgan Stanley are properly controlled, and providing accurate and timely financial information both to senior management and externally to statutory and regulatory bodies. The Budapest team is a vital part of the global operations, representing more than 80% of the team globally.

What you’ll do in the role

Supervise a sub-team with 10-12 associates, including mentoring and developing staff membersLead and oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including journal entries, subledger activities, reconciliations, and financial analysisEnsure compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulatory requirementsDevelop, implement, and maintain internal controls over functional areasPrepare monthly reporting: prepare global support service divisional reporting packs with commentary on a monthly basis, and specific consolidated allocation reportsPrepare quarterly and annual cash flows and disclosures Carry out tasks related to the job in accordance with the instructions of the superior 

What you’ll bring to the role

Completed Bachelor's/Master's degree in Economics, Finance or Business related discipline5 - 6 years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting Solid knowledge of finance or accounting conceptsStrong numeracy and analytical skills Accuracy, attention to detailGood  communication skills, fluency in EnglishSolid knowledge of Microsoft OfficeFlexibility to adapt to a changing environment quickly and effectivelyStrong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage various deadlines and downstream dependencies
