Financial Accountant - Royalties Specialist
**What you will do:** + Prepare monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/yearly royalty calculations + Communicate with various parties (legal, tax, R&D, divisional finance) to obtain royalty contracts and verify the completeness and accuracy of calculations in accordance with contractual terms + Prepare invoices/credit memos and follow up on outstanding payments with I2P teams + Calculate and review monthly royalty accruals + Create and submit withholding tax forms for approval + Perform general ledger accounting operations for month-end close activities including posting journal entries, and preparing reconciliations for balance sheet accounts + Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and ensures accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles + Executing controls (SOX) + First point of contact for stakeholders on royalty inquiries (including key customers and internal directors) + Support on audit queries (external and internal) + Identify and implement process improvements + Coaching team members and reviewing calculations prepared by junior staff **What you need:** + Minimum Bachelor/HBO in Accounting or equivalent certification + 2-3 years of experience in an accounting position + Communication, be able to effectively interact with all levels within the company + Fluent spoken and written English (including reviewing business contracts in English) + Strong Excel skills + Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive + Accustomed to work on dynamic, fast paced environment + Familiar with internal control concepts and accrual accounting standards + Shared Service experience is preferred + Experience in ERP systems Stryker is a global leader in medical technologies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better.
