Financial Accountant - MENA
**JOB TITLE** : Financial Accountant - MENA **DEPARTMENT** : Finance **REPORTING TO** : Accounting Manager **LOCATION** : Cairo, Egypt. **PURPOSE OF POSITION:** The Financial Accountant is responsible for the financial accounting activities for the MENA region and supports the Accounting Manager in ensuring the accurate and timely production of financial reporting. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** · Process accounting transactions such as payroll processing, account reconciliations, account receivables, account · payables, revenue, expenditure, etc. · Determine accounting errors or discrepancies and suggest necessary corrective action. · Maintain accurate accounting records · Assist in account receivables and payables activities. · Respond to accounting related questions and inquiries from employees. · Ensure financial records comply with company policies and accounting principles. · Perform month end closing activities such as account reconciliation, revenue accounting, expense accounting, etc. · Prepare finance reports required for team meetings or as requested by management and customers. · Prepare and submit financial reports in a timely and accurate manner. · Review all financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness. · Support preparation and collection of data for input into annual budget, forecast and projections. · Assist in preparing necessary documentation for annual financial audits. · Liaise with Tax Authorities and other statutory and regulatory bodies. · Daily Inventory subledger or detailed schedule reconciled to the GL and Monthly COGS calculation. · Periodic verification of fixed assets performed to ensure the item in the FA subledger have not been disposed of or · out of service and still in use and appropriately valued. · Prepare monthly Intercompany invoices and reconcile month end balances with regions. **DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY** As per Board-approved DOA and as necessary for functions outside the DOA. As delegated by the Managing Director, when necessary. **POSITION RELATIONSHIPS** Internal • Finance team • Head of departments External • Tax advisors • Suppliers • Auditors **PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE** Education/achievements · Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or similar qualification Experience/Knowledge · Experience in an accounting position for 3 or 4 years.
