The IFRS 9, HGB, ESG Accounting Team (RIA1.5.6) is a globally acting center of competence in RIA Life & Health (LH), responsible for IFRS 9 and HGB accounting, closing and quality assurance for the RI LH Segment and with regards to specific closing topics also for the RI P&C Segment. Furthermore, the team is responsible for the analysis of Reinsurance Treaties classified as Financial Instruments (Insurance Related Financial Instruments) especially from a general HGB Accounting perspective.
In addition, RIA 1.5.6 is currently representing the RI Accounting view for LH and P&C within the global ESG-Project regarding Insurance Related Financial Instruments.
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated professional to strengthen our team especially in the areas of HGB Accounting for Financial Instruments and IFRS/ESG-Accounting Data processing and analysis. The role offers many development opportunities in a dynamic global environment and also provides cross functional topics / cooperation with experts in other Central Divisions and in the international Organization.
Your Job:
Analyzing new LH Financial Reinsurance treaties from an accounting perspective esp. regarding the compliance with German Accounting Standards (HGB) and the identification of embedded derivativesFurther developing and implementing global processes, rules and controls for IFRS 9 and HGB Closing within LH Accounting together with the responsible Senior Financial Accountant and the International OrganizationParticipating in the Group wide ESG-Project incl. support of the transfer of tasks into the line organizationAccompanying timely IFRS 9, HGB and ESG closing activities and tasks including data preparation, monitoring and deviation analyses Collaborating in cross-unit and cross-departmental topics and working groups, willingness to participate in RIA related projects
Your Profile:
University degree, preferably in finance, accounting or business administration with several years of professional experience in the international accounting and project environment Knowledge and experience in the field of accounting standards and processes according to IFRS 9 and HGB Interest in cooperating closely with several Central Divisions and the International OrganizationGood analytical and conceptual skills, eagerness to tackle and illustrate complex issuesWillingness to accept and implement challenging topics in a dynamic environmentAbility to work in international teams Good planning and organizational skills Good IT skills, ideally with experience in dealing with MR finance applications, as well as knowledge in dealing with databases desirable Very good command of English
