A Glimpse of the Job
The Financial Accountant I is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, preparing and entering TAMU corrections into FAMIS and USAS, as well as supporting the shared service customers with daily AR/AP corrections and suspense and revolving reconciliations.
Essential Duties:
+ TAMU Corrections - Processes daily correction requests from TAMU, which includes researching, analyzing, and preparing the correction for entry. Enters the correction into FAMIS and/or USAS and requests USAS batch releases.
+ Suspense and Revolving Clearing - Reviews FBDR016 suspense errors from file feeds and emails departments for correct entries. Posts the correcting entries; this is for TAMU and all shared services customers. Works the DAFR3691 and DAFR3741 reports to account for all revolving reimbursements from the Comptroller’s office for TAMU and all shared services customers.
+ A/R and A/P Corrections - Processes daily A/R and A/P correction requests, which includes manual corrections in FAMIS and USAS and approvals of the DCR (Departmental Corrections Request) through Canopy for TAMU and all shared services customers.

Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ No required experience.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Knowledge of FAMIS and USAS.

+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
