An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a highly respected organisation in Milton Keynes. You will work closely with experienced finance professionals both locally and internationally, ensuring that all financial processes meet group standards and deadlines.

Assist with the month-end process by preparing accurate financial data and supporting timely close activities in line with group accounting policies. Prepare and post duly authorised journals ensuring all entries are substantiated and compliant with internal controls. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and making necessary adjustments to maintain financial integrity. Ensure assets and liabilities are correctly accounted for and fully substantiated through detailed analysis and documentation. Support the year-end process by collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver statutory accounts within agreed timelines. Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and group requirements. Manage tax and VAT submissions by gathering required information, preparing returns, and liaising with external advisors as needed. Work closely with the local finance team as well as offshore service centres in Lithuania and Sri Lanka to ensure seamless delivery of financial processes. Communicate effectively with the Finance Director and Financial Controller on key issues impacting financial results or compliance. Continuously seek ways to improve existing processes by providing feedback and implementing best practices within the finance function.
