Job Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for preparing and maintaining accurate balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all entries are complete and timely in line with month-end deadlines. Investigate and resolve historic differences within reconciliations, providing clear supporting documentation and commentary as required to maintain transparency and audit trails. Perform analytical reviews across reconciled accounts, identifying unexpected movements or inconsistencies and escalating issues promptly to relevant stakeholders. Align all reconciliation activities with internal controls and accounting policies, proactively monitoring for potential risks or areas requiring improvement. Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reconciliation processes, contributing ideas that enhance efficiency within the finance function. Set up journals within Microsoft D365 to correct balances where necessary, ensuring all adjustments are properly approved and documented. Build strong working relationships with operations teams to ensure lease portfolio reconciliations are maintained accurately, addressing discrepancies directly and collaboratively.

Previous Experience

Demonstrated experience in producing detailed balance sheet reconciliations within a financial services or similar environment over at least two years. Proven track record of supporting external audits by preparing documentation, responding to queries promptly, and maintaining clear audit trails. Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis alongside familiarity with finance house systems such as Microsoft D365.
