Are you a financial professional looking for an exciting new challenge? We are seeking a Financial Accountant to manage accounting and process optimisation responsibilities for all EMEA entities in Europe. This role offers the opportunity to deep dive into complex accounting fields such as lease accounting, compensation & benefits, and various other month-end closure activities. You will work with a diverse team spread across Europe.
Location: Wilmslow, Cheshire
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days on-site per week)
ResponsibilitiesSupport with month-end closing activities:
Ensure appropriate US GAAP lease accounting in compliance with Corporate Accounting guidance:Ensure appropriate US GAAP Comp & Benefits accountingPerform monthly closing activities within a defined timelinePrepare monthly reconciliations in Blackline for all responsible G/L accounts.Ensure appropriate documentation of all manual bookings or tasks in the designated location in SAP, Blackline or Teams Channel.Primary backup to lead the EMEA bank accounting team and review reconciliations during the absence of the Bank Accounting LeaderCollaboration and supporting harmonisation of European Accounting processes:
Collaborate with various stakeholders (Regional Accounting, Order Processing, A/R, A/P, FP&A) to ensure seamless and timely information flow in both directions.Support development and maintenance of harmonised documentation, communication and document storage structures in all European Accounting teams.Identify and support opportunities to improve European accounting processes. QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor or equivalent experience required in Finance or AccountingGood understanding of relevant US GAAP accounting topicsPart-Qualified ACCA, CIMA, CPAExperience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting positionSAP-FI, or equivalent would be an advantageStrong Excel skills, or equivalentProficiencies:
