Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation range $70,000 to $90,000 with bonus potential. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

The Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.

Primary Responsibilities Compiles and analyzes account data to create capital, liability, and asset account entriesEnters account details to document financial transactionsAnalyzes accounting alternatives to suggest financial actionsCollects data to summarize current financial statusPrepares profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other documentsAudits records to substantiate financial transactionsPrepares and recommends procedures and policies by maintaining accounting controlsCoordinates activities and answers questions to guide accounting clerical staffCollects and examines account information necessary to reconcile financial discrepanciesCompletes database backups to secure financial informationFollows internal controls to ensure financial securityVerifies documentation, requests expenditures, and prepares disbursementsResearches and interprets accounting regulations and policies to resolve procedural questionsStudies current and new legislation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulationsAdvises management on necessary operations to enforce adherence to legal requirementsGathers, interprets, and compiles account trends and data to create specialized financial reportsEnsures client confidentiality by keeping financial information securePerform other related duties as assignedAdditional Primary Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications Bachelor s Degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent education and related experienceProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organization, multi-tasking and time management skillsExperience with financial accounting systems, extraction of financial data, and data analysisCertified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Accredited in Business Valuation credentials preferredPhysical Demands Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machinePhysical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stoopingMay require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbsEEO Statement
