Seeking Four (4) Financial Accountants to join and be part of a purpose-driven team and find a place to grow and make a real impact in shaping a sustainable future.
Job Responsibilities: General Accounting & Financial Reporting Prepare and post journal entries for routine and non-routine transactions, including technical IFRS-aligned calculations. Process all journal entries into relevant ledgers and submit to the General Accounting Manager for review. Ensure timeous and accurate period-end close (month-end/year-end), including Group Reporting uploads and disclosures of abnormalities. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations and reviews. Ensure the integrity of the balance sheet by investigating and reporting financial discrepancies and overdue items. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and KPI reports. Support the Statutory Specialist in the completion and submission of all relevant statutory and regulatory returns. Maintain proper documentation and filing financial records for audit and compliance purposes.
Qualification and Skills Requirements: B.Comm. Degree in Accounting/Financial Management. At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting or newly qualified CA(SA). Exposure to ERP systems and financial reporting tools is advantageous. Must have a high degree of skill in Business Computing Applications such as Word Processors, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint Enterprise Resource Planning applications (Maximo/SAP or equivalent). Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS or local GAAP). Knowledge SPVs within a multinational business environment. Ability to act independently to prioritize, initiate, resolve and complete actions required to take the business forward to meet goals. Fluent in English and excellent communication skills, capability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels. High attention to detail and accuracy. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
