Finance Technician I - Tax Compliance

The Technician is responsible for processing customer exemption paperwork which includes verification of tax forms, reviewing forms for dates and signatures, and imaging of forms. This position also answers calls from store teams and customers regarding customer exemption info. This includes inquiries of which forms need filled out, where to send in the forms, and issues with forms that have been received. The position also helps Finance - Tax distributes and scan mail for the department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Process customer sales tax exemption forms received physically and electronically.

Answer a high volume of internal and external customer phone calls.

Correspond with stores via email/phone on tax form issues.

Help distribute mail to department.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

Excellent phone/customer service skills

Great attention to detail and organization skills

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel

Desired:

Previous office experience

Excellent oral and written communication skills

2 year associate degree
