Zemi Miches Punta Cana, Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking a Finance Supervisor to join their team working from a satellite office in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
\nThis 500 room resort is located by the beautiful shores of Playa Esmerelda - Zemi Miches celebrates its local heritage through its 10 unique Restaurants and Bars, 10,000 square ft of meeting space.
\nReporting to the Director of Finance and overseeing 1 team member at the satellite location in San Juan, Puerto Rico this opportunity is perfect for a self-motivated leader.
\nThe ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years’ finance expereince in hospitality and some leadership experience. Expereince with Mindsight (SAP), Opera PMS systems would be an asset. Expereince in an all- inclusive resort of a comparable size property is preferred.
\nShift Pattern: Weekdays between the hours of 9am – 6pm - with flexibility to adjust to business needs
\nAnnual Salary: $62,000

\nThe Finance Supervisor will support all activities performed by the Finance department, to include but not limited to, understanding and driving financial performance, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and month-end closing activities, coordinating and reviewing monthly financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Uniform System of Accounts and Hilton policies and procedures. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\nManage local banking operations and supervise accounts payable and treasury functions.\nValidate and approve invoices for timely accounting processing.\nAct as authorized signatory and ensure adherence to internal controls.\nReview credit card transactions and prepare general ledger reconciliations.\nOversee petty cash and generate monthly financial reports.\nCoordinate administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations.\nSupport monthly closings and ensure accurate financial documentation.\nMaintain and analyze financial records using digital systems.\nWhat are we looking for?
\n\nBilingual - Spanish and English\n2 years' experience of finance within Full Service/Resort operations\n1 year of supervisory/management experience\nAbility to analyze large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts, and projections\nStrong problem solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate\nAbility to proactively identify and prevent potential problems\nAbility to help develop problem solving skills among direct reports and other team members as appropriate\nAbility to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for team to fulfill responsibilities\nAbility to coach and counsel staff\nDetail oriented and organized\nStrong communication and negotiation skills (all levels of management and external customers)\nProficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook with the ability to quickly learn new programs when required\n\nAdditional Preferences:
