This position is responsible for oversight and performance of varied areas of financial planning, procurement, analysis, reporting, and training for assigned brand teams. Specifically, this position will be the local representative for Spend Management (Coupa/MRM). This position will work closely with US/Canada brand budget owners, finance, external partners, accounting, IT, Global Business Services (i.e. Corporate Coupa / MRM Process Owners). This position will drive compliance in the area of spend management and will work with teams to promote standardized processes, efficiency and effectiveness.

Established, Emerging, and Woodford Reserve Brands Leader for Spend Management including Coupa and MRM
Spend Management training resource for assigned Brand Teams
Responsible for the accurate operation and utilization of Coupa and MRM
Facilitates the efficient invoice workflow for assigned Brand Teams
Assists Brand Teams on spend management reporting
Basic Functions:
Responsible for management of the Coupa and MRM tools for Brand Teams, Brand purchase orders and internal orders in order to reflect properly in financial records
Responsible for annual Spend Management training as well as on-boarding new employees for respective Brand Teams
Work with Spend Management Administrator on efficient invoice workflow for respective brands
Partners with internal brand budget owners on the proper accounting treatment of spend activities and to identify and resolve inaccurate charges in promotional spend using SAP, BW, Coupa and MRM
Resource for brands to resolve issues related to partner/agency invoices and related program reconciliations
Ensures effective use and implementation of Coupa/MRM tools
Interacts with Brown-Forman Corporate IT / Global Business Services to resolve system issues and improve operational efficiency
Partners with central Global Business Services on purchasing activities / projects
Maintains contact and effective working relationships with all levels of personnel both internal and external
Coordinates with assigned brands and GBS to identify opportunities for savings
Provides input to team on most efficient, effective process for planning/procuring goods/services
Leads monthly brand expense accrual process ensuring accurate reflection of spend activity, preparation of journal entries and monthly reporting for brand expense trackers
Provides assistance to BAM and BAIM on brand business planning/projection process
Responsible for SG&A planning/budget management. Reviews and analyzes progress vs. plan
Maintains a high-level knowledge of respective brand plans, as well as an understanding of brand media plans, in order to better collaborate with agencies regarding billing, invoice status, and accruals
Responsible for capital budget management, including advisement on capital classification, preparation of capital appropriation requests, tracking of assets to ensure proper retirement and depreciation, evaluation of final delivered asset and budget communication to USA&C finance
What You Bring to the Table
2 – 4 years of related experience
Demonstrated analytical/mathematical skills
Comfortable giving presentations to internal Brown-Forman audiences
Demonstrated organization skills necessary to establish the proper work priorities; ability to act with initiative regarding follow-up and the completion of multiple projects
Knowledge of computer operation and use, with ability to learn systems
Demonstrated oral communication skills; ability to formulate response to detailed questions in representing corporate policy/practice within function
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal personnel and external partners
Demonstrated written communication skills; ability to compose final draft memos/project reports
Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google and Outlook
Personal honesty and integrity
Strong relationship management skills and ability to influence others
