Job Description

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Finance & Reconciliation Officer to provide assistance to the day to day operations of our corporate accounting team.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

Preparation of daily bank reconciliations within the finance system.Assist in the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journals.Preparation and review of aged payables and receivables reporting including reconciliations.Assist in the preparation of customer invoicing.Review corporate credit card and employee expense claim coding.Maintenance of the fixed asset register including monthly reconciliations.Assist in the monitoring and reporting requirements of subcontractor retentions and reconciliations.Assist in the preparation of monthly Business Activity Statements.Review and authorise payments within the company’s banking platform.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

Prior accounting or finance experience.The ability manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
