Internal Job Title: Trade Investment Lead France & Project Lead EPDM
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Operations Manager to join our dynamic Finance team in France. In this role, you will be at the heart of driving visibility, control, and optimization of our commercial investments and overall cash flow.
You will report directly to the Regional Head of Trade Investment and Cash, with a dotted line to the France CFO, and lead a team of 2 Analysts. You will manage over €20M in commercial investments and oversee a working capital balance of €25M. Collaboration is key as you will work closely with Sales, Sales Finance, and our outsourced financial services partner (GBS), all while seeking continuous improvement in our Commercial Finance processes.
You will be responsible for:
Trade Investment & Accrual Management
• Ensure balance sheet accruals are accurate and aligned with P&L costs.
• Provide clear, actionable insights on investment levels, including risks of over or under-accruals.
Invoice & Pricing Control
• Approve, validate, and reconcile customer invoices against the correct accruals.
• Validate proofs of performance and flag incorrect invoices and deductions for recovery.
• Ensure customer agreements are accurately reflected in our systems and pricing is correctly applied.
Dispute & Working Capital Management
• Analyze pricing disputes, implement controls, and improve billing accuracy.
• Reduce overdue invoices and AR balances through proactive initiatives.
• Ensure appropriate bad debt provisions are in place.
GBS Partnership & Performance
• Act as the key point of contact for GBS (approx. 4 FTE) teams handling disputes, collections, pricing, and cash application.
• Drive performance improvements and efficiency initiatives across these areas.
About You
We are looking for someone who is driven, analytical, and confident leading others in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in a Finance role, preferably with commercial or operational exposure.
• People management experience is a strong plus.
• Advanced Excel skills; comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite.
• ERP knowledge (e.g., SAP) preferred.
• Fluent in French and proficient in English.
