Description About the Company A privately held investment management firm with a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture is seeking a Finance & Operations Associate or Manager to join its team. Position Overview This role supports the firm’s financial, operational, legal, and compliance functions. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and communication skills. This is a hands-on role that requires comfort with autonomy, multitasking, and working in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting + Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor coordination and journal entries + Oversee payroll processing and annual reconciliation + Administer compensation and benefits programs in collaboration with external vendors + Monitor monthly accounting packages, budgets, and forecasts + Prepare documentation for tax and audit firms; review draft returns and financials + Ensure timely completion of tax filings (e.g., property tax, 1099s) + Support internal financial reporting and analysis Operations & HR + Manage employee onboarding/offboarding, background checks, and policy administration + Assist with vendor transitions (e.g., payroll, banking, credit cards) + Support internal control development and process improvements Compliance + Assist with regulatory compliance across finance, HR, and legal functions + Support Code of Ethics, client reporting, regulatory filings, and investment guideline reviews Additional Information + This is not a remote role; candidates must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area + The firm offers one of the most generous benefits packages in the industry, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), and profit sharing + CFA exam expenses reimbursed upon successful completion of each level NOTE: Excited about this opportunity?
