Global Financial Operations, Glasgow
We are seeking a Finance Manager for our LatAm team in the Glasgow office. This role requires fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. As part of the Shared Service Centre for Reconciliations, you will manage a team of Onshore & Offshore members and report to the Head of Finance Shared Service Delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring the completion of the reconciliation process on the Blackline system in line with the Global Policy. A key part of this role is working with a variety of LatAm regions’ local finance areas to complete finance reconciliation processes. You will be a key point of contact for both the local finance areas within LatAm and the Offshore team.
The successful candidate will be required to be a self-starter, with strong communication and analytical skills. Ideally you will have a sound understanding of excel and have relevant finance experience. You will be expected to be assertive in following up and seeking resolution of queries and issues. Strong communication skills are a must.
Key responsibilities include:
Balance Sheet Control
Understand Global Accounting Policy and ensure it is being adhered to. Assist COG local contacts in their understanding of the Policy.Manage the Quality Assurance process ensuring the reconciliations are in line with Global Policy requirements.Understand the purpose and content of the reconciliations and data flows and be able to articulate to senior managers.Understand regional protocols and ensure they are being adhered to. Work with the local finance management team and FCU to resolve queries and clear aged open items. Understand data issues on the reconciliations and ensure these are logged on the Data Issue Register.Assist and escalate to all local contacts/stakeholders as and when required.BPO Oversight Control
Ensure tasks are carried out by the offshore team within agreed SLA’s.Active involvement in determining the SLA’s and ensuring methods for measuring are in line with the core purpose of the SLA.Support the Offshore team to enhance both reconciliation and underlying processes.Oversight and control of transitioned processes with the potential for visits to other sites to ensure cohesive working relationship.Regular quality assurance checks performed on outsourced processes.Review of BPO team standard operating procedures.Communication with external groups
Communicate in Spanish with local offices on any discussions both during project process and BAU.Work with third party outsource to ensure delivery of accounting processes.Take account cultural differences which effect processes and overall approach.Continuous Improvement
Lead continuous improvement in the LatAm entities within finance and promote this in the wider business.Work with the local & offshore teams to ensure they are operating efficiently and identify any opportunities to create capacity.Projects
Be involved in projects that flow through the team; completing test scripts, perform UAT, provide sign off.Management
Responsible for people management including resourcing, training and development, performance management, employee engagement and absence management.Ensure team tasks are adequately prioritised and aligned with the wider Glasgow team goals.Communication
