Finance Manager – 6-Month FTC (Fully Remote | Excel Expert Required)

I am excited to be working with a leading national charity to recruit an experienced Finance Manager for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fully remote role, ideal for a hands-on finance professional who can hit the ground running and bring expert-level Excel and financial reporting skills to a busy, purpose-driven finance team.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance and Planning, you’ll oversee the day-to-day financial reporting function, with line management responsibility for two direct reports. You’ll take ownership of cashflow forecasting, VAT compliance, payroll oversight, and contribute to month-end processes and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the weekly cashflow forecast and reportingOversee payroll review and VAT/Gift Aid submissionsLead the month-end close and review of balance sheet reconciliationsSupport finance system testing and improvements (Dynamics GP, Salesforce)Business partner with internal stakeholders to review budgets and forecastsLine-manage the Finance Supervisor and Payroll AdministratorCandidate Profile
Fully or nearly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experienceExpert-level Excel skills – essentialStrong experience in cashflow forecasting, month-end processes, and payrollConfident managing and coaching finance staffExperience working in or with charities (VAT/Gift Aid knowledge)Able to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environmentContract Details
