In this pivotal role, you will partner with the Head of Finance and Senior Finance Business Partners to align financial operations with strategic business goals for Infrastructure Delivery T&I New Zealand. You’ll play a critical part in delivering accurate, high-quality financial services — from month-end reporting and budgeting to project performance analysis and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver strategic commercial advice and financial analysis to support operational decisions Lead project and general accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and WIP management Ensure robust month-end processes, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting Project accounting: project creation. management, valuation, closing Oversee audit, compliance, tax, and treasury functions Drive continuous improvement and innovation across finance systems and processes Support and develop a high-performance finance team through effective leadership and coaching

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

7+ years of experience in a senior finance role Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting or related field CA/CPA qualified Experience in project accounting(advantageous) Proven leadership skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset Strong technical accounting, budgeting, and project finance skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to manage complexity and drive performance in a fast-paced environment
