The PositionFinance Manager, Pharma Singapore
Roche Pharma Singapore is searching for a highly motivated, insightful, natural leader with a strong entrepreneurial mindset to join as Finance Manager to support Roche in achieving their ambitions to improve Singapore’s healthcare with better outcomes for Patients.
Based in Singapore and reporting to the Pharma Singapore General Manager, you will be a key member of the affiliate Enabling Team. You will be jointly accountable for the affiliate performance, fostering an environment that promotes trust, transparency, and a customer centricity that inspires and motivates teams to develop and adopt an agile way of working.
In this position, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of business-enabling functions, which includes managing and overseeing the financial results of the affiliate, business partnering, cash generation, accounting, tax, procurement, supply chain, business operations, and general services. Your financial responsibilities can be categorized as:

Ensure a solid framework for launch excellence in the affiliate
Long-term portfolio planning and resourcing strategy
Drive a simple and fit-for-purpose business planning process that captures key strategic directions
formulate a local finance strategy balancing global/regional requirements with local imperatives
Engage with business partners in crafting and executing value-enhancing decisions through business performance (actuals vs forecast), ensuring ambitions and commitments to the region are met
Guide the business in meeting short to long-term goals by providing relevant financial and non-financial information
Business partnership (including internal and external stakeholder management and business development)
Define in collaboration with business leaders the strategic direction of the organization
Network and collaborate across borders to build a strong network beyond Pharma Finance to deliver better outcomes and overcome barriers
Oversee the local finance & accounting function, ensuring adherence to Roche Group Accounting (FGA) and consistency within different divisions, local accounting standards, tax, financial reporting and customs
Oversee the affiliate procurement process, with focus on value delivery for Roche, balancing costs, service quality, compliance and strategic partnerships
Oversee the Strategic Account chapter, with focus on coaching/thought partnering with the chapter lead, supporting the chapter through external engagements with KDMs and hospital C-suite, and actively facilitating cross-chapter collaboration
Develop financial strategies that ensure compliance, and enable the delivery of more medicines to patients faster
Overall People/Functional Leadership and development
Leverage VACC leadership principles to enable diverse team to contribute to organizational and enterprise outcomes and impact from a triple win perspective.
Cultivate a focus on personal development whilst creating and nurturing a winning team through coaching and leadership
Shape and implement the new ways of working for the team, whilst contributing to the affiliate transformation journey
To be successful in this application, our new business-enabling lead will have a minimum 10 years of finance experience; a professional Accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACA, CIMA) or University Degree/MBA and a proven record of ensuring financial governance and a strong network with the internal and external financial communities. You are a curious leader that is comfortable to contribute also outside your core expertise.
