Our FP&A team owns end-to-end financial planning, reporting, controllership, and strategic decision support for senior leadership.
Key job responsibilities
We seek a Finance Manager to join the Amazon Pharmacy FP&A team and lead Pharmacy Finance through critical financial planning processes. This role will have full P&L exposure, collaborating with the business to surface financial insights that influence strategic decision-making at the senior leadership level. The right candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, a keen eye for detail while maintaining strategic perspective, and a passion for financial storytelling, continuous innovation, and developing best practices to improve financial planning capabilities.
A day in the life
• Lead the Pharmacy Finance team through annual planning and quarterly guidance cycles, including variance bridging and scenario modeling across the full P&L
• Partner with cross-functional business and finance leaders to develop short and long-term strategic plans, using good judgment to influence decisions
• Understand key drivers of financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities and surfacing actionable insights to stakeholders
• Craft concise financial narratives for senior and executive leadership
• Create and implement best practices in financial bridging to raise the standard of how financial data is communicated
• Seek opportunities to automate and simplify financial reporting tools, creating efficiencies in financial processes to enable better decision support
• Own ad-hoc financial analyses, providing data support and financial insights to business teams and finance leadership to support strategic initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
