To support our continued growth, we are looking for the most exceptional finance professionals to join our Other Hardlines Finance team. The Other Hardlines business group is one of Amazon's four core retail businesses, along with Consumables, Softlines, and Media.
Other Hardlines encompasses a vast and growing range of businesses from multi-billion dollar categories like Consumer Electronics, Toys and Home that's building on all the things consumers love about Amazon to deliver a unique and compelling range of products and services specifically tailored for business customers.
The Other Hardlines Finance team plays a critical leadership role partnering with the category leaders, operations and technology teams to continuously innovate, delight customers, grow and optimize their businesses for long term free cash flow. We are looking for a Finance Manager to be a key partner in driving the financial relationship within our Heavy Bulky Team. We are making sizable investments in growing the Heavy Bulky business and continue to optimize our retail businesses and are expanding services to enhance the Heavy Bulky delivery experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most creative, project based areas within Amazon.com. Besides being responsible for the table-stakes (Controllership, Process Improvement, Performance Management), the Finance manager will be working closely with senior business leadership in identifying, creating, and driving innovative solutions and programs for growing topline, driving business efficiencies and new cost & CX-optimised supply chain models.
The role will work cross-functionally with some of the largest GLs in the business, and hence provides a great opportunity for the Finance leader to scale their projects and have a EU-consumer wide impact. The Finance Manager will support a large business team and will work closely with partner teams including third party sellers and supply chain, inventory management specialists, and FP&A. This position will utilize proprietary Amazon systems and tools coupled with SQL and Cognos.
This highly visible role requires a candidate with proven leadership and an ability to influence senior stakeholders and steer business conversations to achieve great outcomes for Amazon as well as its customers. They should demonstrate high standards and must exercise considerable judgement, drive strategy and tactical execution, utilize written/verbal communication at a senior executive level.
Key job responsibilities
• Partner with Directors and Senior Managers to drive strategic initiatives and long term success
• Develop financial and operational plans to achieve long-term business goals
• Conduct business reviews, evaluate progress toward business goals, and communicate progress to senior management
• Perform analyses and develop financial frameworks to identify opportunities for business improvement
• Review and report monthly and quarterly financial and operational performance to business leaders
•Maintain a strong financial control environment
